Volunteering, yes, I've heard that's a good way to "learn the ropes" and it also helps out the folks who organize Pennsic.
...then we can sneak the golf carts out for some midnight races!

One of the best ways I have found to "see" all of Pennsic is to volunteer for a Public safety shift... Since this is your first year, volunteer to ride with some one who has done it before.
Just a suggestion.

Sally gate is between the merchant area and our camp. it is right off the main raod that goes thru coopers property and it's the road that separates the battlefield from the 'getti.
it's a gate that we use usually when going from camp to the battlefield or coming home from battlefield | | |

Brannos wanted me to post the camp rules, since we have some new people in camp. These will also be posted in camp.
Also not on the camp policy list but keep in mind when you are planning your arrival, if you arrive after 6pm you may or may not get any help setting up. Also if you arrive after dark you will not be able to set up until the morning so that we can make sure you are in the right spot. If you do show up we will do what we can to find a place for you to sleep. If you are renting a tent and it is already set up then showing up after dark is OK, but again you may not get any help.
Camp Policies
1.) Please pick up after yourselves. If you see something, pick it up.
2.) Read and understand the Pennsic site policies found on pages _ through _ of your book.
3.) No modern devices (chairs, cans, phones, etc.) in Common Area.
4.) Anything left unattended overnight will be picked up and put in the red bucket. See Rebekah to get it back.
5.) No dumping any water in the shower pits.
6.) Children under the age of 10 are not permitted in the Common Areas without direct supervision. Do not let children play around the camp fire.
7.) Absolutely NO dropping people off at the Sally Gate for any reason whatsoever. If you are caught by The Coopers the whole camp can be expelled. ZERO TOLERANCE! Please be smart and check yourself for you medallion BEFORE you leave camp. This shouldn’t be a problem!
8.) Enter and exit camp through the main gate only.
9.) Only firewood should be in the fire pit. It is not a garbage dump.
Everyone please sign up for one slot of the camp duties list. See Respected Captains for duties.
- Please read the rules posted on the shower for shower policies.
If you have any questions see Michail, Brannos, Rebekah or Trelogin.
Shower Policies
Military Showers Only!
Military Showers will be strictly enforced.
1.) Turn showers on long enough to wet your entire body.
2.) Turn off water and soap up your entire body.
3.) Turn water back on to rinse.
4.) Repeat for your hair as well.
Please understand that our shower pit is not bottomless and fills quickly. If you have a need to take longer showers, please use the Solar Showers on Low Road. Anyone who must be spoken to more than once about this will no longer be allowed to use camp showers.
If you have any problems or questions with or about the shower see Donas, Michail, or Balthazar. If they are not around see Brannos
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BELONGINGS IN THE SHOWER.
