My dear people, we've lost someone who let his heart live all the way out to the edges of his skin. Our tears must fall for someone who loved his wife and his daughter so completely, so publicly, so proudly. Sarnac always brought his whole self to whatever he did in the SCA. He was the most noble opponent in combat, and the first to make friendships following! He was a friend to so many of us, and to this barony in particular.
People of Roaring Wastes, if you wear the baronial tabard, or display the baronial arms, put a black ribbon on the rightmost sun, through Valentine's Day, to show honor to the man whose light brought happiness to us all. Sarnac was of Ealdormere, but he was of us as well.
Sarnac was valiant and a good friend. Memory can do no less than mourn. Hope lives on. _________________ Once again, we are forced to ask ourselves, as a society, whether nature should be legal. -- Dave Barry

Bob and I went to High School together. Had lotts of laughs and I enjoyed his humor and excellent personality. My father was a Colonel in the U.S. Marines, and he always talked about how cool that was.
We graduated in 1987, and fell out of touch.
He joined the Marines, I had heard from a mutual friend.
I was talking with a group of fighters on the battlefield at Pennsic in 2002. Amongst the group was a King. Suddenly the King looked me in the eye and called me by my full mundane name. It was Bob.
Small world.
Today is a sad day. I will make 2 spirits and set them upon the shelf.
One I shall give to a gentile who inspires me at the Pennsic Novice Tourney.
The second I shall open on the field at a time to be determined. I invite any who wish to toast the good Count Sarnac to join me. _________________ SCAdemo.com Like it? Link to it!

Every single one of my memories of him are his smile. He was just so happy. He enjoyed his life and his family and everything that he did.
To his family, I am so, so, so sorry for your loss. I cannot even begin to imagine what you are going through.
I give you all my love. _________________ I'm invisible.

a couple of memories...
it just so happens that he was the first person that I ever saw in the sca he was a squire then and he was pissed he thru his helmet and his pole arm down and just sat there with this seriously disgusted look on his face...
I remember when we were both squires and evertime we at practice and faught we hurt each other...
I rembember when he came up and did leather working here at the house and jumped clear across my kitchen when he saw a spider...
I remember all of the secrecy when sarnac and yo new about each other being elevated and seeing the supried look on their faces when they found out...
He will always be an inspiration for me. I will miss him greatly.

Sarnac will be greatly missed. I'll always remember him at the Gaelic League wearing that kilt of his. He was a great man.
Great people should be remembered. Through the Star Foundation I "bought" a star. It's located in the Constellation of Orion and is officially named Count Sarnac Kir. The official certificate should arrive at my house in two to three days. I hope to deliver it into the hands of Jolecia and Amber sometime in the near future. It even comes with a map so they will be able to locate it in the night sky.
I'll miss him very much. _________________ "If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you. "

"And it came to me then that every plan is a tiny prayer to father time
As I stared at my shoes in the ICU that reeked of piss and 409
And I rationed my breathes as I said to myself that I'd already taken too much today
As each descending peak of the LCD took you a little farther away from me
Away from me
Amongst the vending machines and year-old magazines in a place where we only say goodbye
It stung like a violent wind that our memories depend on a faulty camera in our minds
But I knew that you were a truth I would rather lose than to have never stood beside at all
And I looked around at all the eyes on the ground as the TV entertained itself
'Cause there's no comfort in the waiting room
Just nervous pacers bracing for bad news
And then the nurse comes round and everyone will lift their heads
But I'm thinking of what Sarah said that "Love is watching someone die""

Shock! It's all incredibly cruel. The last time I saw him was 2 weeks ago at Sunday practice and he was having a great time with a big grin on his face. We will miss him. Deapest condolences to Jolecia and Amber and his extended family.

The wolves have stopped running tonight,
and our hearts pain us low in our chest,
for Odin has called our brother home to him...

I haven't the words. He gave me an opportunity I never thought I would have, and well, we had fun.

That photo is just brutal.
I have to admit, I just find it almost impossible to believe that he could die in such a way. I was 100% sure that he would beat this and fight again. I was SURE. This stuff just makes me so ANGRY because I hate it when you can't do anything about something you just don't want to happen.
I am 100% shocked.
Sarnac and I disagreed on so many issues- it was so much fun! We were VERY much alike. I just feel pissed! Totally pissed!

I've got a pell in my basement that heckles you when you hit it. You're more than welcome to completely emiserate it. I'll probably join you.
I'll never forget the first time I saw him fight. I saw the back of his shield, and it was made from a road sign! I never laughed so hard in my life.
Like many others, I, too, have no words to say, only tears to shed and memories to hug in his place. _________________ So Sing Vivat the Dream may it live long
