- Duke Sean

There is no need for an apology as there is no time limit as to how long we will all be remembering this man and the void created by his loss to us.

For my part, thank you for continuing to share; to you and to all who've done so.

I still don't think it's all real though, any minute he's going to walk in the door, throw his sweaty fighting clothes on the floor....

That whups me.

I only met him at Pennsic. Fought him in pickups one year; I'm waiting for a turn and this knight asks me if I want a few passes. And I'm thinking "Yeah, I am so going to get my butt whipped." And I did. Nothing but good words. Good pointers.

Next year I saw him again, and he remembered me. We did a few passes, and towards the end, I caught him with his own trick - just flat-footed. He laughed like mad and said "See if I teach you anything else if you're going to use it on me!"

And he did show me something else.

God Bless you and your daughter

My apologies to all for the lateness of this posting. I, like many, was at a loss for words. Thanks to Garrahan, I think I found them.

Immediately after hearing of Sarnac's death I was struck most by the realization that I had known him for less than a year. And yet, as is true to his nature, I felt like I had lost a close friend of many years. To say he was disarming in this way would be a tragic understatement. It was just so easy to feel his friendship.

I had been talking to Sarnac via the Legio for a few months prior to deciding that I needed to get out to the Middle to meet some people. He was indeed the catalyst for my journey to Baron's War. In fact, after hearing that I had several offers of hospitality, he had said "I'll understand if you'd rather stay with someone else." To which I replied that I was going out there to meet and spend time with *HIM*.

I have read the postings here on the Legio and see that Sarnac was very much a WYSIWYG kind of guy. He was genuinely *THAT* nice. I feel blessed beyond words to have been taken in by Sarnac as a friend. An otherwise unlikely friendship developed via the Legio from 1500 miles and an international border away. A friendship that largely consisted of one weekend in Toledo (Of all places) and lunch at Pennsic. And yet, words cannot express how much I feel that my life has been enriched for his presence in it.

The blessing of Sarnac's friendship will continue on for me. For through his kindness and generosity, I consider my time in the Midrealm as a pivotal moment in my life. I will always remember that through Sarnac I was able to meet the likes of Garrahan and Aimee, Rangvaldr, Kith the Silent, Richard Fitzwilliam, Muneyori (sp?) and Yasamin, Felix and Madelina, and countless others who I truly feel privileged to have met.

And though I am many miles away, I wait with eager anticipation to the time when I may once again share in the company of such fine people. And when that time comes, we will raise a glass and drink a toast to our friend, Sarnac.

I wish I could have been there to see him one more time. I will miss him. Maybe its best that I did not have to see, for he will remain in my memories alive and vibrant to continue encouraging me. I will never forget.....

Each photo brings a flood of memories, all wonderful.
Thank you Brannos. It's already moving, and I can barely imagine how much it will mean when all the "blanks" are filled in.

Of a life lived so fully, thank you for the memories.

Warmest thanks to everyone for their kind wishes, checking in privately to check on me, and the stories shared. Each day is a little easier so I just take them one at a time. Amber occassionally asks "what are we going to do about _____?" and I'm trying to take them in stride, but have been able to give simlpe answers so far. I hate to say it, but it really makes me glad she isn't close to any milestones in her life - it gives me more time to prepare for them.

I would also like to thank everyone who sent/will send Brannos things to include in the memmorial page. There are pictures I've never even seen of him (like his trip to Trimaris as prince) that I'm really enjoying seeing now. Alex your skills and talent with a camera are beyond words. I have sent some family ones to include. I know you all knew him to be a great daddy, so I had to included some that show it on fillm. His last time Trick or Treating with "his princess" from this past Oct. is included. He escorted her as her knight.

I've started saving my favorites to my desktop as the screensaver slide show, a little hard to handle watching right now, but I know I'll be glad to have done it in time and am grateful for the venue in which I am able to gather them from.

Hi everyone here is the start of the Memorial Gallery for Sarnac. Please take a look and understand it is not done. I have a good number of Poems and Songs to add and I still would like to add the music that was sent as well.

BTW I would like to thank EVERYONE that sent pictures and wrote here in this forum. The outpour of support was incredible and we will truely miss Sarnac for a long time to come.

Well said Moria...Time slips by, forgetting that we have not kept in contact . Certainly is how my life has been for the past couple of years.
Sometimes we take for granted that everyone will be there when we decide to come back and join in ..

I didnt know Count Sarnac very well.
But I can say with a proud feeling to have been able to have fought beside him last Murder Melee.
And it was there that my favorite memory of Count Sarnac comes from....
Ive been fighting awhile, and in all that time, Count Sarnac never spoke more then twice to me.
I felt odd, I thought he hated me.
Then at Murder Melee I got my AoA, and second in the New Fighters Tournement.
and that night at the parties that followed, he called to me. By my own name...
I was quite shocked.
And he sat there for almost a hour and talked to me about how proud he was of my achievment in my fighting, in my honor, in my battle sense.
So many things he said to me, it showed me a sense of pride about myself.
I realized then that he didnt hate me, nor did he ignore me.
He wanted me to earn my own pride, my own confidence. Didnt want to bestow a false feeling of pride.
I will miss Count Sarnac...

Everything, even the really bad things, that happens has a life lesson in it. I've been thinking very hard about the life lesson Bobby's passing has had on me, and I think I've found the two I was meant to take from this very sad event.

1. Life is too short to wake up one day and wonder....'why don't I talk to so and so anymore?' '...I wonder what so and so has been doing lately?''...I can't remember the last time I saw so and so...'. Reach out, stay in contact, settle minor differences, make contact!

2. There are not enough people in this world who make the extra effort to tell others what it is they do that is good. Even a person's worst enemy has a strong trait, a good day now and then, and being gracious and telling someone how they affected you or made a difference is a small thing, but gives a lot. Without Bobby around, it's time for the rest of us to pick up the slack, and take the extra minute or two at least once a month to tell someone they have done good.

Moria
