On June 26-28, 2009, Meridies and the Middle Kingdom shall meet upon the Field of Honor at Prizer Point, 1777 Prizer Point Rd. Cadiz, KY for Border Raids XXXV. "How do I push a fighter over (hay bale) of a bridge?"
Well, let's start with the limitations:
1. NO haft/shield on body contact - you can't use your polearm or shield to physically bash someone in the body to push them over a hay bale. You need to contact your opponent's shield/weapon to be able to move them in any sufficient manner.
2. You CAN NOT drop your weapon (i.e.-if you're a spear or polearm fighter) to use both hands to either grasp a shield/polearm/body part and manipulate it to get the person over the bridge. Why? A) As soon as you've lost your weapon in such a manner, you're considered "helpless" and can not be struck (look at the handbook). B) Grasping your opponents shield is against the rules (handbook again).
What can you do? Use your weapon/shield to leverage against your opponent's shield/weapon to get the better position and toss 'em off. Sure, inevitably there's going to be some body contact between weapon/shield and body because everything is moving. Just do it legally.

On Saturday, June 27th, the Barony of Sternfeld is happy to welcome one and all join us for a day of playing at our annual Krannert demo. We put on a demonstration for the city parks to help pay for our fighter practice site. However, we've found that it's fun to just invite all of our neighbors in to play for the day. If you are not going to Border Raids, come see us instead.

Personal commentary:
I got to thinking about this since I have taken a weight training class for credit at the local community college.
One of the things the instructor did the first night of class was a Body Composition Analysis using an inductance meter. This measures the body fat, lean muscle tissue, bone and water in the body. (http://sportsmedicine.about.com/od/fitnessevalandassessment/a/Body_Fat_Comp.htm)
Body Composition Analysis uses bioelectric impedance to assess body fat percentage. For men, about 5% body fat is considered healthy while on women, 12% is considered healthy. Whereas men with over 25% body and women with over 32% body fat are at risk of illness and disease related to being over-weight.

I currently am cutting all this out of 6061 T6 .100 but if you would like premium stuff I can get that as well.
